New (August 2018)

Professional interested in biomaterials, who is looking for new challenges

I am seeking the opportunity to introduce myself as a professional interested in biomaterials, who is looking for new challenges in another EU country. I am a hardworking person committed to team work and company objectives, with 7 years' experience working for different plastics companies within the R&D and Technical departments.

As my CV reflects, I have a background as R&D Laboratory Technician working for 5 years in a PVC Manufacturer Company located in Huesca (Spain). Along this time I gained a progressive experience in analytical techniques and polymerization process as I was responsible of the development and characterization of innovative products based on phthalate-free PVC and biopolymers (PHA and PLA) formulations.

For the last 2 years and a half, I have been working for a bioplastics company situated in Southampton (UK) as a Laboratory technician and being promoted within the first 12 months as Technical support engineer. My responsibilities were mainly laboratory testing of different biomaterials, but I also spent several periods working with the customer assisting in the introduction of new products related to non-woven fabrics on production equipment, supervising the production and providing technical support on site (US and Germany).

Previously and during the summer period, I did several internships in different companies related to my both Food Science and Technology and Chemical Engineering degrees. I mainly worked within the QC department, being responsible for testing and analysing different products related to wine, composite feed and PVC compounds.

My education and my professional experience have honed strong ability to gain a wide range of technical and customer support skills, as well as giving me the opportunity to work closely with a great team of researchers and professionals. I am passionate about biopolymers and all the technologies related and I would love that new job opportunities would allow me to progress in my career within this fascinating field.

Therefore, I do hope that you may take me into consideration for any open position available now or in the future. In the meantime, I look forward to hearing from you.
