PLA is one of the bioplastics with the largest market significance. The versatile bioplastics raw material is made almost completely from renewable resources. It is being used for packaging applications, for fibres in woven and non-woven applications. Even the automotive industry and consumer electronics are already applying PLA. Blending PLA with other bioplastics or other blend-partners as well as mixing it with natural fibres such as flax, hemp or kenaf broadens the range of applications even more.
That‘s why bioplastics MAGAZINE is now organizing the 7th PLA World Congress.
Experts from all involved fields will share their knowledge and contribute to a comprehensive overview of today‘s opportunities and challenges and discuss the possibilities, limitations and future prospects of PLA for all kind of applications.
The 2 full-day-conference will be held on the 24th and 25th of May 2022 in Munich, Germany (or online = hybrid event).

Travel to Germany
We sincerely hope that you may and can travel to Germany. We don't know about the restrictions your country may have on the day of travel.
For information on entry rules issued by the German Government, please visit
www.bundesgesundheitsministerium.de, providing info in 18 languages. We try to keep this info updated.
Currently th 2G-rule applies: access only for vaccinated and recovered persons with current negative test or booster vaccination.
If you need a negative PCR test for your flight home, you find useful info here:
The nearest location is Innere Wiener Straße 19, 81667 Munich. That is about 750 m (less than half a mile), so, a 15 min walk or a cheap taxi ride.
The IHG Hotel Group (including the Holiday Inn Munich City Center) has elaborated a comprehensive hygiene concept.
Basically, our general cancellation policy applies.
However, due to the pandemic situation, we will handle it a bit more flexibly. If you register for the full on-site conference, we'll send you an invoice and ask you to pay this on time. In the case you have to decide to step back to an online-only participation at a later point in time, we can change your registration and we'll refund the price difference. Such a change, however, must be performed at a maximum of 48 hours prior to the event.
We are all keen on holding an in-person event, as networking and socialising over a glass of good German beer is something that is so important and is high on the list of things that we all miss so desperately.
