Shortlist finalists Bio-Based World News Innovation Awards 2018 announced
Bio-based World News has announced the names of the three finalists in each of the four award categories who have made the final cut.
The shortlist finalists, per category, are:

Bio-Based Chemical Innovation of the Year
Advonex - Hydrocarbon ingredients
Beta Process Bioenergy - Biomass processing, using complete sugar beets
Vertoro - Crude lignin oil
Best use of alternative feedstocks.
Argent - Energy Fatbergs to biodiesel
Enerkem - Non-recyclable waste converted into fuels and chemicals
Ÿnsect - Insect meal as an alternative feedstock
Bio-based industry story of the year 2018

Bio-on's new €15m bioplastics plant in Italy to help the fight against microbeads.
Clariant and Enviral ally to build a new full scale commercial cellulosic ethanol plant.
The winners will be announced on Tuesday 20th March at World Bio Markets 2018 in Amsterdam.
