Italian bioplastics company Novamont was announced as the winner of the EUBIA Award 2016 at the European Biomass Conference (EUBCE) - the world’s largest specialised Biomass Conference - which took place this week from 6th to 9th June in Amsterdam.
This annual award, established in the year 2000 recognizes a European company which has made an outstanding contribution to the advancement of the Biomass industry and its market.
Citing the company’s “ contribution to sustainable development of green chemistry in the industry”, Novamont received the award during a ceremony on June 6, 2016.
EUBIA is a non profit association that support the European biomass industries at all levels, and fostering international co-operation within the sector. The European Biomass Conference and Exhibition (EUBCE) is a world class annual event which, since 1980, is held at different venues throughout Europe.
The EUBCE covers the entire value chain of biomass to conduct business, network, and to present and discuss the latest developments and innovations, the vision is to educate the biomass community and to accelerate growth.
The conference this year attracted over 1400 participants from 81countries. With over 786 presentations from 3732 authors and co-authors, 2 parallel events and 8 workshops, the EUBCE can truly be described as the single most influential event in the biomass area.
