International online conference on Bioplastics & Packaging
Most plastic packaging is made of fossil-based resources, are hardly recycled and not biodegradable. In addition these plastics can contribute to long-term accumulation of microplastics.
Innovative bioplastics can be a sustainable alternative. They present new features and can have multiple end-of-life options: recyclable and/or biodegradable.
At the bio!PAC the focus will be on circular packaging based on biobased feedstock that leads to genuine environmental benefits. Specific attention will also be paid to the criteria for these applications.
That‘s why bioplastics MAGAZINE (in cooperation with Green Serendipity) is now organizing this 5th edition of the bio!PAC – conference on bioplastics & packaging.
The conference will be held as a breakfast conference during interpack at the Düsseldorf fairgrounds.
Experts from all areas of bioplastics & packaging will present their latest developments or research. The conference will also cover discussions like end-of-life options, consumer behavior issues, availability of agricultural land for material use versus food and feed etc.
The conference will be a hybrid event that will be recorded and made available for convenient watching (video-on-demand) for at least a month after the event. All presentations will be made available (pdf) as well.
Networking will be possible with the WHOVA App and platform (details will follow).

Please note, that there are two days ...
The 5th bio!PAC will be held as a business breakfast conference during the interpack in Düsseldorf, Germany, as a hybrid event.
bio!PAC will be in Room 18 in hall 1 (upstairs). This is ON THE FAIRGROUNDS. So make sure to have a valid Interpack ticket. Attendees will get a voucher code for a free ticket for each of the two days.
Please enter Messe Düsseldorf through the SOUTH (SÜD) Entrance only ! No access through East or North early in the morning. (map of Messe Düsseldorf).
Other than in previous Interpack-years, public transportation is no longer included in the ticket. For public transportation, please have a look at this link. Or tell the taxi driver "Messe Eingang Süd"
Parking is also tricky. We suggest to go to parking lot P1. Even if this is furthest away from Entrance SÜD, it is the best solution. Most of the other parking lots and garages are reserved for exhibitors or early bookers (expensive) There will be a bus shuttle from P1 to CCD SÜD starting at 7am (they promised).
